Olympics - February 2010

Olympic gold for funny face making!

I helped dad make pancakes tonight and needed an apron, so Keira naturally wanted hers too. Matching dresses and aprons - mom couldn't resist a picture. Helen's grandaughter's made the adorable aprons for us. Thank you Helen!

I've been watching the Olympics with mom and dad lately and like the ice skating, or as mom corrected me, figure skating. While I was watching it with mom the other morning I saw a woman skating by herself and said "she doesn't have a prince mom!" Because I remember watching the pairs skate together and didn't know that the women skated alone.

This morning mom found Keira sitting up in her crib when she woke up with two of her baby dolls tucked in right in front of her. She really loves her dolls.

Mom asked me what I was thankful for today because that's what she saw we talked about in Sunbeams from the picture that I colored for her which also included a valentine heart for mom that I excitedely showed her after she came out of her class with the Laurels. Anyway, I told her that I was thankful for Keira.
Keira is learning a lot and talking a lot these days. And I've rubbed off on her a bit because she really likes pink. While I was at playschool last week I guess that mom was reading to her and mom asked her what shape something was and she said..."um...pink!" When in doubt, pink is her answer. I have taught her well:)

I am still learning quite a bit myself and mom and dad have been trying to encourage me to go potty by myself at night so that I don't wake them up. Dad told me that I would get two stickers if I did this. Early last week I decided to try it out. Dad woke up around 2 AM to the lights on in their bathroom because I forgot to turn them off. And he kindly turned off my lights in my room because I was too tired to turn them off. He also tucked me in because I was laying like I'd just stepped up into bed and gone right back asleep without making it to my pillow. I don't think it was really worth the two stickers because I haven't done it since:)
