Grandma and grandpa visit. Ella took the picture of mom with grandma Boo. We check out the ducks on the first day of spring. Clint and Moko visited and Clint read the Caterpillar and the Polliwog before bed. Keira took a nap in Moko's lap yesterday during sacrament meeting. Dad said we needed to tell Clint that he'd been replaced because Clint used to hold Ella all the time in Sacrament meeting. Clint will never be replaced;)
Hall family goings on, things we don't want to forget (and maybe a few we do), the kids grow up so fast! We want to cherish and savor it all.

Wii = weeeeeeeeeeee! - March 2010
The latest happenings worthy of an entry:
Ella played a Wii running game today with Dad after he had his workout. But then dad was helping mom on the computer and she didn't want to wait for us, so she played the two player game all by herself. She ran for her player first and finished and then grabbed the other Wii-mote and played for the other person. This is not the first time she's done this.
Keira likes to unzip her sleepers so that she can play with her belly button. After a restless evening before falling asleep one night I noticed that her zipper was down. When I went to check on her again before going to bed myself, I tucked her in and noticed that she'd zipped it back up before falling asleep:)
Ella and Special K decided it would be good to draw on the wall with chalk while under dad's supervision (mom was away at a meeting). But Ella proudly told dad about their big accomplishment after doing it.
I spotted Keira tapping her lap in the van the other day while listening to music. It was pretty precious.
Ella made a snowman out of clay at Shorecrest playschool and made buttons for it. I was a parent helper that day.

The Letter "S" - March 2010
Today I had Ella, Avery, Zoe, Aubrey, and Madie over for playschool at our house. We talked about the letter "S" and did shadow puppets. When we sat down for story time, we sang a couple of songs first - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and ABC's, then Zoe wanted to sing a song that I didn't know so she sang it for all of us. Then all of the girls wanted to sing their own song to the group. Madie sang the Whinnie the Pooh song start to finish, Avery sang a princess song about a lot of things, including a diamond castle, Ella made up a song about how she loves her family (I think one of the other girls mentioned singing about their family earlier) and named her whole family. And Aubrey sang "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty. It was quite precious. Then as we sat and had string cheese and strawberries, Zoe noticed that it was snowing! I'm sure it was warmer than 32 outside but it was pretty cold. And we all got to see a few tiny snowflakes fall.

Mom's too busy! - March 2010
Last Saturday, we were getting ready to out for a trip to Costco which we usually do as a family. Ella kept asking me to do her hair in a pony tail for her. I said I would as I was busily working on the computer after she got a comb and hair band. She went and got a hair band and comb and came back and asked me several times if I would do her hair right then. I was so tuning out everything while on the computer that I didn't even hear her until she went to dad and asked for him to do her hair because "mom is too busy!" I can't write the tone in her voice when she said it, but there was some genuine childlike attitude as mom got owned:)
1st Day of Playschool at Shorecrest HS in Shoreline - March 2010
Here is Ella on her way in to Shorecrest Highschool on March 3rd. It was her very first day of playschool. She'll often, as she did in this case, ask Keira to hold her hand when walking. Mrs. Rodgers is the teacher. Ella wouldn't tell me much about it because I told her she could have a tootsie pop afterward. So when I asked her about what she did she said "I don't want to talk about it, I just want to eat my lollipop. I managed not to cry but it did feel a bit like sending her off to school even though it is just two days a week for an hour and a half.

Dade (Daddy) - March 2010
Now that Ella is officially growing up and will be going to her own playschool on Wednesday I feel that I should blog true to self from here on out. Another reminder that she is growing up happened today. I was upstairs putting sis to sleep and checking emails while Ella waited downstairs doing crafts because she didn't want to go up with me. She totally suprised me when I went back down to see her. Ella had written the word mom on a note card and dade (daddy) on another! I didn't know that she could write anything else besides her own name.
