April 2017 - Coast with Kamikawas and Keira's 3rd Grade Ethnic Luncheon

So much going on and it's not even Easter yet! Devils punch bowl in Otter Rock over spring break with the Kamikawa's!

What to do when your power goes out after school...Menchies. It had been PJ day for Ella and Ellis Island simulation day for Keira so they were all dressed up, or down, but no matter. Nothing could stop these kids from going to Menchies! Keira was owed Menchies for 2 hits at her last softball game, and Ella for getting first place from Shelton View's team at the Math is Cool competition.

On Ellis Island simulation Day for Keira I got to ask kids about their background at the immigration check station.

Keira was assigned to be a Polish girl who liked to sing.

Poor deprived Pi has never been in a kid swing until now. Weather was beautiful for what seemed like the first time in months. Ella was watching on the sidelines because she was home from school sick.​

March 2017 - Outdoor School, Bingo Night and more

Keira is showing Pi her favorite stuffy "Slushy." Pi was up at 5 a.m. playing this morning while mom watched from her pillow on the floor. She'd giggle every time I yawned. She has teeth envy but her giggles were pretty appropriate. By the end of the day she had the beginning of her first tooth! No wonder she was up so much last night!

Ella is at Camp Cedar Springs with the 5th graders. Thanks to Madeleine's mom I get photo updates.

Mar 13 - Piper crawled into the girls room on her first big adventure. She kept looking back at me every few feet to be sure I was still there, or maybe she was checking to see if I was looking;) And she kept giggling as Keira waved her toy.

Mar 14 - Ella really wanted to hold Piper after dinner on this, her day (Pi day). I said no, she's happy, let her be. You can hold her if she's fussy. So Ella asks again a couple minutes later and I say "asked and answered Ella." So next thing I know Pi screams out of nowhere and I look at her to see Ella's hand on her arm and ask if she pinched her baby sister..."sorry" is Ella's reply. Poor Pi! But Ella's intentions weren't all bad;) it took me a while to stop laughing. Happy Pi day!

Mar 23 - We have a stair climber! Thanks to Ella. You can't really tell from the picture but she climbed 5 stairs this morning.

Feb 2017 - More Snow and GWL

Feb 22 - I had a mom moment this morning. Ella was feeding Pi while I made lunch and she was trying to teach her how to sign "more." Oh how the visions of doing that myself to Ella poured into my mind. I'm so lucky to be doing this again!

Also pictured: how Piper and I roll at Costco. I felt like a super star running errands with her because I got told so often what a cutie pie "Pi" is. Shopped without her the other night and no one stopped to give me a compliment:O I think I'll keep my shopping buddy.

Getting ready to watch the Super Bowl. I'd consider this good luck if the Hawks were playing.

Watched Doktor Kaboom at the Northshore Performing Arts Center, ya!
