OMSI - November 2011

We had a great time at OMSI this morning with Shaila and David.  Uncle David Mc also joined us for lunch at OMSI and Ella enjoyed being silly with him.  On our way home the topic of car seats came up somehow.  Shaila mentioned that Travis' car seat was just a box when he was a kid and they remember grandpa Spencer fashioning an airplane like seatbelt once and getting cookies from his aunt when he visited Oregon and the comment was made that we had all the fun when we were kids and kids today don't get to have much fun because they need car seats until they are like 37.  And Ella responded simply and said "well I had a little fun today at OMSI." :)  Keira continues the Shaila and Jonathan slow eater legacy and didn't eat much at lunch time so she was hungry as soon as we got in the car.  She kept mentioning how hungry she was when she woke up from her nap.  Shaila and Travis were shopping in Fred Meyer so Ella, David, Keira and I made up foods while we waited - car soup, spaghetti trees, steering wheel soufle, dancefloor turnover yum!

Kim's baby shower - November 2011

The girls snuck down to see all the fun...and have a cupcake!

Nov 11th Pac Sci Ctr visit - 2011

Ella got to go playtesting again with Aubrey and afterward we all went to the Pacific Science Center. I got to test one of the games with Ella and Aubrey which was fun. I was instructed to read the directions and then explain the game to the girls. It was a princess game (of course) and the characters danced around on a ballroom floor.

Nov 5th visit to the Imagine Kids Museum - 2011

Gymnastics - November 2011

Or Gin-nastics as Keira likes to say!  After about 3 classes of Ella's first gymnastics class, Keira joined in for one of the classes.  We were down on the mats taking pictures of Ella and she wanted to join so the instructors let her.  After that we had to enroll Keira to avoid sadness whenever Ella went to gymnastics:)  They both have had a great time learning forward rolls and walking on the beam and hanging from the bars and rope.  This week they took a make up class because we were going to miss one over Thanksgiving.  We went and on our way home Ella said "it was a make up class but there was no make-up mom."  Clearly mom didn't descirbe the concept of a make up class well enough:)
