Dec 2017

Bellevue Nativity, Seattle Center ice skating, Gingerbread houses, Snowflake Lane, real snow, and Christmas!

Dec 2 - Thankfully Travis remembered yesterday that the Bellevue Nativity started today. So we sauntered to Bellevue this morning and visited first with Grammy and Spencer and Judy Kay who was visiting because Bonnie was gone. Then we hit the Nativity and, as usual, it didn't disappoint. Kids actually posed for a picture or two (win!). The girls found everything on the treasure hunt list with just a little help and I pictured a few of our favorite Nativities. I love the beaded ones and the girls really enjoyed the corn husk ones this year.

Bella joined K and Madeleine joined E for an ice skating adventure.

Piper mostly enjoyed going up and down the stairs.

Watched a magic show while eating Subway (girls are in the back row).

Gingerbread houses were historically themed this year and moved across the street from the Sheraton because the Sheraton is undergoing construction. There were 6 total.

November 2017

Mod Pizza and DQ with the Jordan's. They are the one's taking all these great pictures! Snow!  Ella's Soccer recognition night at Peteza's Pizza. Thanksgiving! Last one with grandma and grandpa before they head to St. George for their mission as records preservation specialists. Keira's written submission to go along with her art for the Reflections program this year. Judges Choice whoop whoop! Keira's art is in the middle on display at the Westhill library. And Piper helps mom Christmas shop.

October 2017 - Ella's first band performance

Ella's first band performance:...The best part was that Ella told us she had a surprise for us and turned out she wrote (as part of an assignment) about what one of the songs sounded like to her and gave a description and the teacher chose a few of the best ones for students to read before they played the various songs and hers was one of them and she happened to be the first one to speak. I was so proud of her speaking so well. The song was Crusaders March and she said it sounded like an army marching into battle:)

October 2017

Any animal Piper sees (dinosaur, cow, pig, horse, dog) that I ask her to make the sound for she'll say "meow!" With the exception of a few like ducks, and sometimes crows (caw caw!-this came from the Kamikawas). And she says da da whenever I ask her to say mama.

Keira practicing her piano one morning lets her little sister in on the action. So sweet!

Hanging out at the open space while waiting for Keira to walk home from the bus stop has become a thing when it's nice out.

Piper eats a protein bar.

Impromptu park visit and first try at a selfie together makes us both happy. I tried to encourage her to walk to the bridge at Bothell Landing but she wouldn't do it until she found some adorable dogs to follow. Fortunately she was distracted by the ducks before following the dogs all the way home. She walked all the way back to our car after watching the ducks as if to say she was ready to go home.

Grocery shopping produce bags are fun...until they're not because our nice friend Laurie Patterson tried to make Piper laugh by popping the bag but it backfired.

My parents went to Canada and all I got was this shirt! Moose says meow!

Erica took the last one of Piper while Travis and I were in Victoria, Canada. She's getting ready to brush her teeth.
