Great Grandma's Birthday - April 2008

Great grandma turned 88 on April 6th! We celebrated by having dinner at grandma and grandpa Hall's. I know it's kind of hard to see her in the picture behind mom's big belly these days. She keeps talking about this baby sister of mine, but I'll believe it when I see it. I mean with a belly that big, she should have delivered by now right?!?! I know that I don't know a whole lot about babies yet, but I know that much;) That being said, I know that this sister of mine is bound to arrive soon and I may be busy helping mom take care of her, so if you don't hear from me in a while, have no fear, I'll be back online in no time with sister to help. I also got to see my dad's cousin Summer, and her daughter Ember. We had a blast together. We visited a park nearby for a few moments before it started to rain but we had a great time.

You can see that I got a new cell phone. I am telling all of my friends that I'll have a new little sister soon. Erica let me borrow her phone on our way to lunch at a new pho restaurant. Little did she know that she and her mom would be visiting my new little sister in the hospital soon!

Happy Easter, March 2008

Well hello everyone. I've had a pretty exciting month of March. You can see from the pictures that I had a fun Easter. Great grandma played knock down the blocks with me and I got to see grandma and grandpa from Oregon! grandpa is affectionately called "boo!" I would frequently try to get his attention by saying boo and it usually worked. They also spoiled me silly and, thanks to them, I now know very well what an animal cracker is...yum. They got a kick out my silly walk too. I think it's funny to walk without bending my knees and kicking out my legs a bit to the side. I especially like it when others join me.

You can also see that I have a new affinity for shoes. I like the big ones that I find because they're easy to put on and take off. Not so easy to walk in, but fun to try them out.
I have a bumbo chair that I used to hate to sit in for too long. But now I actually like to sit in it and can get in and out on my own. Mom and Dad tell me I'm too big for it and that I'll have to share it with my sister...but...I know how to say "no" now, so we'll see how it goes:)

Mom and dad seem to spell words to each other a lot more frequently these days, but since I know my alphabet letters I'm sure I'll be able to decode their language soon:) But sometimes I think my parents forget to use their code when they don't want me to hear something. For instance, today my mom was telling my dad about how she showed me to swaddle my favorite green bear in a blanket and how I thought it was quite funny. But as soon as I heard her say "green bear" I instantly said my usual "uh huh" which means that I want my green bear. So mom went upstairs to get it and by the look on her face, I don't think she was planning on it. But we got to wrap up my bear in my blanket and I thought it was hillarious. I wonder if I'll think it's such a funny event when this sister of mine comes and we wrap her in blankets.

The great impressionist - February 2008

I've been working on my impressions. Grandpa was a victim of playing with me and this is the thanks he gets:

Sock swap - February 2008

Auntie Shaila taught me the fine art of sock swapping, so I thought I'd teach my favorite green bear.

Mt. Everest or bust - February 2008

Okay, so maybe not quite Mt. Everest yet. But I did climb onto our couch yesterday all by myself. Mom wasn't quite quick enough to get a picture because they weren't expecting it. I totally suprised them. But just because my mom is pregnant

Go To Sleep! - February 2008

I've gained a few new skills lately. I'm really good at lying down when mom or dad says "go to sleep." I'll snuggle with whatever is near and soft.
I'm also getting really good at climbing into boats and driving them as seen in the picture above of me at the kids museum in the factorial mall.
I'm still perfecting this one, but I really thrilled my mom the other day with another new skill. I'd call it a skill because I woke up one morning and pointed at her and said "ma ma" and seemed to get whatever I wanted that day. So I've been saying it every day since. Sometimes I point to dad when I say it by accident...I just get so carried away.

2008 Is Great - January 2008

Well I hope that everyone is having a great New Year so far! I've been having a good one despite being a little sick with a cold and despite my dad putting bracelets over my ears:) My mom says that I've been learning in leaps and bounds lately. I can zerbert on command. Sometimes I forget to take out my binky or just spit it out while zerberting, but I enjoy it anyway. I go upstairs to my bath and try to climb in when mom or dad says that it's bath time. I still love giving high fives and knuckles. And I'm perfecting the head nods - both yes and no. I'm now what you might call a peek-a-boo expert and will initiate it with you if I feel like it. I'm also getting some more teeth in these days so bring on the steak!
